This project is maintaned by Alberto Ropdríguez it started as a personal need, I required stunning, animated and easy to use charts but as a just graduated engineer it was hard for me to pay 1,000+ USD for a license, so I decided to give me a try and after 2 weeks I had a really simple version, I liked the results so I shared it with the GitHub community in the end of the 2015 year.

The project helped many developers and became one of the most popular charting libraries for WPF, but the dotnet world is moving fast to cross platform development, so LiveCharts needs to give this step too.

So here we are, LiveCharts2 is the next step of LiveChart, LiveCharts 2 is a full rewrite of the library, we now know what worked in the previous version and what are the points that we needed to improve, this new version is more flexible, faster and much more reliable.

Also our second version is cross platform, we can run in Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, IOS, the web nad more. We provide controls from multiple frameworks such as MAUI, Uno platform, Avalonia, Blazor WASM, WinUI, UWP, WPF, WinForms, EtoForms luckily the library will now help more developers and final users.
